MANAGEMENT POSITIONS
Job Title: General Manager
Department: Operations
Reports To: Area Manager
Payroll Status: Exempt (salary)
Summary:
Manages a restaurant within the policies and guidelines of the company by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors and team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Takes direction from Area Manager and all Operational Management team members.
Directs and coordinates preparation and cooking, of food served or prepared by establishment; collection of monies from drive-thru or walk-up customers; or assembly of food orders for Guests.
Manages day-to-day operations by scheduling labor, ordering food and supplies and developing the restaurant team.
Ensures all labor laws (federal, state and local), OSHA, local health and safety codes and company safety, security and cash handling policies are met.
Controls profit and loss by following cash controls. security procedures, maintenance of proper inventory levels, managing labor, and reviewing of financial reports.
Recruits, interviews, hires and trains team members. Identifies and develops potential shift and assistant managers. Conducts performance appraisals and takes appropriate disciplinary actions.
Ensures complete and timely execution of corporate and local marketing programs.
Ensures Company standard on equipment, facility and grounds are maintained by use of preventative maintenance programs. Ensures food quality, facility cleanliness and customer satisfaction is consistently met or exceeded.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly manages subordinate supervisors and restaurant crew members. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Uses independent discretion and judgment in interviewing, hiring, and employee training; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications
To
perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to
perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements
listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or
ability required. Must be available for Monday thru Sunday
scheduling, and can work any hours open to close. Work week is a
minimum of 5 days and approximately 50 hours. Must have own

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of Guests or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
Basic
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Drivers License, ServSafe or equivalent safety and sanitary certifications required.
Other Skills and Abilities
Cash register and/or restaurant "Back of the House" system experience preferred
